| I posted having a leak in that area and speculated the problem came from the sandwich adapter. [ http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2547778/Oil-sandwich-adapter.html ] Well, I cleaned the area and re-wrapped the pipe thread fittings for the cooler lines with teflon tape and went for a short ride. Came back and checked again. The filter area is dry. But the area around the pipe thread fitting of turbo oil line from the block is oily. When I assembled the block two years ago, I put liquid teflon sealant on that pipe thread. It seems from the heat and pressure, that seal has gone bad. Anyone has had similar issues? I'm feeling frustrated. Not planning to pull the engine just for this. I'm going to put some putty over the pipe thread to see if it can seal it temporarily.
